FAQ

HEATING

How the heaters work?

Advanced burner

The heater uses a patented oil burner with an electric fuel pump. Combustion gases travel through ceramic-coated pipes, producing clean and powerful infrared heat.

Complete combustion

A triple-stage combustion process ensures clean, complete burning. Normal room ventilation is sufficient.

About emissions

HipersAir infrared heaters produce extremely low emissions.

They burn fuel efficiently, leaving almost no visible smoke or odor. Because the heat is infrared, exhaust piping is rarely required for garages, workshops, patios, or seasonal cabins. Venting is only recommended when operating in sleeping areas.

What fuel do you use?

The heater accepts multiple types of diesel fuel; however, kerosene offers the cleanest combustion.

In extremely cold climates, winter-grade fuel is recommended.

The patented removable fuel tank detaches in under a minute for easy filling and cleaning, ensuring stable fuel quality over time.

What safety features are included?

HipersAir infrared heaters include 12 independent safety systems.

ㆍMotor Protection Device
ㆍCombustion Control Sensor
ㆍFuel Shortage Detection Sensor
ㆍTimer Control Function
ㆍSensor Malfunction Detection
ㆍTilt Protection Sensor
ㆍOvercurrent Protection Device
ㆍAutomatic Power Cut-Off
ㆍError Code Display
ㆍIgnition Safety Device
ㆍDouble Overheat Protection

Does infrared heat spread evenly?

Yes. Infrared heat radiates across long distances and warms surfaces—not just the air. Fans are unnecessary.

Why is an infrared heater more efficient than a fan heater?

Fan heaters warm the air. Infrared heaters warm the material itself.

When a door opens and warm air escapes, infrared-heated spaces retain heat because the floors and walls stay warm.

Is there an odor when burning?

ContrHow is the control unit structured?

Soft-touch LED panel with clear status indicators and full remote operation.

Can it be used on cold days?

Yes, the HipersAir infrared heater has a preheating system implemented.

Reliable Start at -22°F (-30°C)

Diesel thickening in cold climates can cause ignition failure. Incorporate a preheating system that preheats key components, ensuring smooth fuel flow and stable combustion even at extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting – Poor Combustion / Smoke

Check error codes first.

If a new unit produces smoke:
1) Check if air bleeding was performed.
ㆍIf not performed: bleed the air.
ㆍIf air bleeding was done but ignition occurs:
Some smoke may appear at first. Let the heater continue running—this usually stabilizes.

2) Partially clogged nozzle
ㆍKeep the unit running outdoors for a period of time. Heat inside the chamber often clears the obstruction naturally.
ㆍIf burning is interrupted and black smoke transitions to white smoke, the nozzle must be replaced.

Why does unburned fuel remain during partial nozzle blockage?
ㆍThe fuel does not spray uniformly.
ㆍThe solenoid valve returns most residual fuel, but not 100%, leaving some fuel inside the chamber.

What is the standard warranty?

All HipersAir-manufactured units come with a 1-year warranty covering parts and labor against manufacturing defects.

COOLING

How does a portable air conditioner work?

Just roll the unit into place, vent the hot air through a ceiling tile or window kit, and manage condensation using a pump kit or by emptying the tank. Plug in and it’s ready to cool.

How many square feet can one unit cool?

As a general guideline, 12,000 Btu/h (1 ton) cools roughly 400 sq ft.

Actual performance depends on heat load, ceiling height, number of people, equipment in the room, and outdoor temperature.

What is the water tank for?

All portable AC units collect condensation in the built-in tank.

What safety features are included?

Safety System (11-Point Protection)
ㆍRefrigerant Pressure Cut-off
ㆍCompressor Overheat Protection
ㆍCompressor Overload Protection
ㆍMotor Overheat Protection
ㆍFreeze Detection Device
ㆍOvercurrent Cut-off
ㆍFire Alarm Signal
ㆍCondensate Level Detection Sensor
ㆍCondensate Tank Position Detection
ㆍDrain Pump Protection
ㆍEmergency Auto-Stop System

Can I use a condensate pump with HipersAir units?

Yes. All HipersAir portable AC and heat pump units support condensate pump installations. (Optional)

Do condensate pumps have a check valve?

Yes. Each pump includes a check valve to prevent backflow.

Do I need to charge refrigerant before using the unit?

No. Every HipersAir unit comes fully charged and sealed.

Refrigerant does not wear out or “run out” under normal operation. If a unit loses charge, it indicates a leak and requires service.

Can I block one of the supply air ducts?

No. Blocking any airflow path increases static pressure and will cause the system to shut down for protection.

Are side and front clearances important?

Yes. Proper clearance ensures proper airflow.

We recommend at least 20 inches on both the evaporator and condenser sides.

What maintenance is required?

Just basic upkeep:

  • Clean or replace filters regularly
  • Empty the condensation tank (unless using a pump)
  • Inspect for dust buildup around intakes

For detailed instructions, refer to the operations manual.

What is the standard warranty?

All HipersAir-manufactured units come with a 1-year warranty covering parts and labor against manufacturing defects.

Compressors carry a 3-year warranty.
